Adventure Day at Dinosaur Valley State Park

Ready for a dive into the past? Let's go on a  Dinosaur Valley State Park adventure!!

Ranger led hike (1 1/2 miles round trip) to see the best view of the park and beginner fossil hunting. 

It's all about learning, exploring, and having fun together.

Here's What to Expect: It is about a 2 hour drive. We will meet locally and carpool at 9am. We will leave the park around 3pm and get back to cars around 5pm.  I can take 4 with me, we may need anothe driver. Please let me know if you would be willing- your gas will be compensated. 

Pre-Adventure Prep: You'll receive an introductory guide via email before the event. It covers everything from fossil hunting basics to safety tips and a little bit of history about the park and what we might find.  This guide will be your handbook for the adventure!

Hands-On Experience: Get ready to use your rock hammer, chisel, and brush! Don't have any? No worries- I will have a couple extra sets for us to share.

Connect with Nature: We will arrive at the park around 11am and spend a couple of hours doing some beginner fossil hunting before meeting the ranger and doing a hike to see the best view of the park. 

More than just fossil hunting, this adventure is a chance to connect with nature and enjoy the great outdoors.

Essentials to Bring:

• Comfortable outdoor clothing and sturdy shoes that you don't mind getting dirty and/or wet
• Lunch and snacks
• Towel for car seat in case we get dirty
• Water bottle to stay hydrated
• Your adventurous spirit and curiosity!
