Teddy and I visited Bonnie Wenk Park in McKinney Texas this morning. He of course LOVED the dog park, but we did that last after we walked this beautiful park. We will get back to that in a minute.
There is something for just about everyone to do here-ball fields, picnic areas, fishing pond, fitness court, walking trails, dog park and play area.
If you have children, you will love this park! There are 3 really unique play areas and the largest is for all-abilities. Sorry my pictures don't really do it justice but trust me, your kids will love the play areas at Bonnie Wenk Park.
The trail in the park is only about a half mile around the fishing pond, amphitheater and this really cool fitness court. I have never seen anything like it. There are different stations for exercises and even an app that will help you get a good workout in the park.
Okay, so after the half mile walk, we made it to the dog park. This is a big dog park. It has 2 sides for big dogs and little dogs and even a splash pad for just them. Teddy only wanted to play with his new puppy friends and had no interest in the water play. We will come back when it is hotter, and I bet they will all be in there.
We stayed for a little over an hour and left with a tired puppy. A tired puppy is a good puppy right? Ha ha.
